Not so much TV... Debra!!

Debra Burton was more into theatre than television. Although she was in quite a few TV programmes. She was in the soap opera "Brookside" and starred in a TV series called "Strangers" a chilling drama series starring Amanda Burton. Debra made a close friendship with Amanda Burton and is still friends with her today!

Biography

Debra Ruth Burton was born in 1958 in Salford, Manchester. She has three sisters and a brother. Debra grew up in Manchester, her father Julie Burton was a manufactorer and her mother Gwennie was a housewife. She first decided she wanted to be an actress when she was only eight years old. As soon as she ended her school carrer, she was offered a place at Manchester Politan and Manchester University. Debra went to Manchester University to study Drama, when she was twenty-one she got married to Steven Tucker (founder of Europarks!) she was the only person in her University to be married and in 1982, she made a contract with the best acting agent in Lancashire and she began her carrer as an actress.

Fallen

In 1983, Debra Burton did a one woman play called "Fallen" about a married woman who has an affair with a man. Her performance was excellent. Many people commented about her remarkable performance. She also got excellent reviews!

How was Debra introduced into the acting industry

Debra Burton's first job was in Manchester at a Pantomime, then she played small parts. She played a travel agent in the popular soap opera "Brookside" and did voice-over work in commercials and radio. Her break-through was in 1983 when she played Abigail in
The Cruisaple.

Debra Burton: Remarkable actress

Debra Burton was one of the most well-respected actresses of all time. But her carrer lasted from 1982 to 1990. But during that time, she has worked her way to the top and has proven that she is one of Britan's leading Actresses.
